Photography
We meet at 2.25 pm on the 1st Friday of each month at Goodworth Clatford Village Hall, SP11 7RE. The members produce three A4 pictures presented on A2 mount board for a monthly topic, and these are commented on by the group.
We also try to have a "learning topic", such as composition or depth of field, which one of the members researches and presents after which the whole group joins in a general discussion.
We have a nice split of male / female members and also a good range of experience, with some happy to use compact cameras while others have more sophisticated equipment. Our aim is to encourage the taking and production of better photographs.
We are a group of people who enjoy the art and science of photography. Taking memorable and thought provoking photos covering a wide range of topics. We often have a topic where we take photos and then share our best ones with the group. We also want to learn more about the topic so we can get the most out of camera and produce the photos that give us pleasure. To that end we have learning topics and practical sessions to enhance our knowledge and skills.
With today’s quality of mobile phones, these can take some wonderful photos. So there is no need to worry about owning traditional cameras; our group caters for both types of photographer. If you have an interest in taking photos, why not come along and see what we do?
