Members On Their Own Group
The MOTO group was initiated at the end of July 2023 and has gone from strength to strength. We currently have around 25 members and meet once a month at 14:00 on the 1st Monday of each month at our new venue of St John the Baptist RC church meeting room. This has proved to be more conducive to our needs, with comfortable seating and use of the well-equipped kitchen. At our December 2024 meet we were able to hold a Christmas buffet to celebrate the season.
Our regular events include meeting once a month for coffee and chat at the Lights Theatre café in the centre of Andover, usually on the 2nd Monday of the month and have a monthly Sunday lunch at a local hostelry.
During the summer we had a picnic by the river to celebrate our first group birthday and hopefully many more.
Our members have also been on a number of theatre visits to see tribute bands at The Lights, and a few have even ventured up to the big smoke to see the hilarious show ‘Fawlty Towers’.
In November we had a very successful Skittles afternoon with much hilarity. so much so we are doing it again in the New Year.
